A headquarters designed with people at its heart.

Situated by bustling Watford Junction Station is the European HQ for TJX Europe, whose brands include TK Maxx and Homesense. Their campus 
is comprised of three buildings, the largest is 12-storeys high and was designed by Sheppard Robson Architects. TJX have a wonderful and unique culture that we brought to life through the building and their brand to engage staff and visitors to HQ. Each of TJX Europe’s brand values were realised as art installations, using neon LED lighting to tell each value as a brand story. 


Through using layers and lighting many of the pieces we create are given a level of depth and animation to encourage engagement. We also wanted to focus on the impressive corporate responsibility work within TJX to their teams. 
We created a visual style for this messaging that was then rolled out around the building creating sustainable, updatable, vibrant and memorable pieces inspired by their incredible work.

At THEM we designed a full wayfinding system within the building, from lift lobby signage to team locator plaques. We ensured that the system designed was not only simple to navigate, but 
also easy and quick to update, so that there is flexibility for teams relocating to different parts 
of the building.

We wanted associates to engage with building in different ways — a colourful, vibrant hanging neon signposts the Games Lounge as a place to have fun and relax, whilst the mural of a tree which spans 10 floors of the stairwell, from roots to canaopy, encourages associates to take the stairs and enjoy 
a moment of calm contemplation as they go about their busy day.
