MAYFAIR, LONDON.

Quietly guiding the way through a new Mayfair workplace.

Working alongside Hassell, we developed the signage, wayfinding and manifestation for a new private equity workplace at Devonshire House in Mayfair. Our challenge was to create a comprehensive system that made the workplace easy to navigate, while feeling considered, understated and integral to the wider interior design.

A common design language of symmetry and order, simple contrasts and materiality informed each element, creating a consistent experience throughout. The result is a system that does its job quietly, clear when it needs to be, subtle when it doesn't, and designed to feel part of the workplace rather than something added to it.

Privacy manifestations were developed for glazed meeting rooms and offices, balancing the need for discretion with the openness of the wider workplace. Subtle DDA manifestations were integrated into the glazing to meet accessibility requirements without introducing unnecessary visual noise.

Meeting room names were produced as individual laser-cut three-dimensional letters, creating an elegant and minimal alternative to traditional room signage. The understated treatment allows the identification to sit naturally within the architecture while remaining clear and easy to find.

Across client areas, directional signage and floor identification help colleagues and visitors navigate key destinations. Each element was designed as part of the same family, bringing clarity and consistency to the journey through the workplace.

A comprehensive family of bespoke icons was developed for joinery and key workplace functions. Simple and intuitive, the iconography provides another layer of information without interrupting the clean visual language of the interior.
